Hi. I’m Nicola.
There’s nothing quite like capturing an amazing moment when someone reveals their true self to the camera. That’s why after many years as a speech-language pathologist, I stepped out of my comfort zone to launch my photography business.
Since then, I’ve had the honor of helping families, students, and entrepreneurs tell their unique stories. As a mom and business owner, I have a special passion for working with women who are starting new businesses, changing career directions, and taking their vision to the next level.
Born and raised in Ontario and Chicago, I’ve lived in Deerfield, IL, for the past decade and love capturing the natural beauty, wonderful families, and creative entrepreneurs that make Chicago’s North Shore a photographer’s dream.

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME

I love hanging out with my two girls watching movies and baking any sweet that includes chocolate. Our favorite recent flicks: Ted Lasso, Marvel Movies, Harry Potter or Pitch Perfect series.

I’m obsessed with music. A nod to my Canadian roots, my playlist will always have Sarah McLachlan, Tragically Hip, and Blue Rodeo in the rotation.

I’ve been a competitive swimmer since age 8 and raced my way through high school and national-level NCAA meets. Still hit the pool almost every day.

I love golf. Been playing on and off for 15 years with my husband and am trying to get my kids into it so we can play as a family. No luck with the girls so far, but fingers crossed.

I’m always up for an adventure. Top three so far: eating my way through Italy, West Coast road tripping with my girls, and glamping in Yellowstone, starstruck by nature’s awesomeness.
