How to develop a clear vision for your branding photography session

Whether you are an entrepreneur starting a new business or a small business owner who is relaunching and refreshing their website, a branding photo session will bring a cohesive look to your brand and elevate your business.

The first step to a successful branding session is to be able to provide a clear vision of your personal brand.

To help you get started with your brand story, consider the following questions and take the time to brainstorm some answers. This will be an excellent starting point and give us a framework to create one-of-a-kind visual content for your business.

Who are you?
Look clearly at who you are and the value you bring.  What really makes you tick?  Not sure where to start? Think about key stories in your past where you really learned something about yourself.  Instances where you felt a “click” and knew “this is where I belong”. Is there a common theme that runs through these stories?
I’m a mom, a speech pathologist turned photographer, a business owner, a cancer survivor. All of these have impacted why I developed an interest in photography and pushed me to start my own business.

What do you do?
Be specific with this description: I am a family, high school senior and branding photographer

Why do you do what you do?
What is your mission, why do you wake up and work? For me, it is important to have meaningful quality images that can be keepsakes for families and high school seniors so they can remember how they are in this time of life.
I enjoy connecting, working with, and learning from other like minded women entrepreneurs.

Who is your ideal client?
Describe who you are most excited to work with in your business. I specifically enjoy working with women who are starting new businesses, changing career directions, and taking their vision to the next level.

What makes you unique?
What helps you stand out from others in your industry? I pride myself in taking the time to get to know my clients and collaborate with them on the details of the session. I have created planning materials that will prepare clients, so they feel comfortable and confident when they get in front of the camera.
