Personal Branding Photography: Transforming your website with Custom Brand Images

To be recognized as a brand and to stand out from your competition, you need to have a consistent visual brand identity. Everything from your logo usage, color palette, typography and imagery style will help your brand have a cohesive look across all your marketing platforms.

Branding photography allows you to create custom-made images that incorporate your brand’s visual elements, so you can differentiate your business from your competitors, and showcase your personality and values.

I had the pleasure of teaming up with a recent client, Daniela Prestes. She reached out for some custom images to launch her new business. The Slumbers, is a luxury sleepover party rental service to the Chicagoland area.  The Slumbers’ goal is all about creating a magical vibe where happiness is the main focus.  Daniela aims to surprise her clients with  unforgettable moments infused with magic.

The vibe of The Slumbers is all about the high energy logo, modern fonts and vibrant colors that pop.  My job was to make sure the pictures I created matched the style and personality of The Slumbers. This way anyone who sees Daniela’s emails, website or social media posts will know it is The Slumbers and no one else.  Whenever people think about The Slumbers they will picture fun, happiness and a ton of energy.

Daniela and I collaborated to create a shoot plan where we recreated a sleepover, with child models who were having fun, full of energy and laughter. She focused on using the vibrant colors of teal, yellow and coral when choosing her stylish clothing, slumber party props and accessories. I chose to use natural light creating images with a bright and airy light that matched the high spirits of the scenario.

The images we created are custom tailored to her brand’s style, giving her a distinct look that will set her apart from the competition.  While she was getting ready to launch her website, she used a few stock photos as temporary stand-ins until her branding session was complete.  Here I can show you how tailor-made images that align with a brand’s identity can elevate your business and bring a cohesive look to your website.
